Descriptif du poste

As Sales Director, and ambassador of the MAMA brand, while representing MAMA Shelter, you are expected to embody the MAMA spirit. Being genuine, kind, considerate, courteous, thoughtful, positive and respectful to ALL MAMA staff, guests, vendors, contractors and anyone on the MAMA Shelter premise is essential to performing the Sales Director position satisfactory. This also includes being mindful of these characteristics while representing MAMA Shelter at any time. Objective: The Sales Director is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities. Providing leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with the MAMA vision and values and establishing sales plans and strategies to expand the customer base.

The Sales Director reports directly to the General Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Establishes and increases the sales of Mama Shelter LUXEMBOURG on all segments (Corporate, Mice, Leisure, Groups, B2C End Users), reach the targets and goals.
  2. Recruits and Manages a team of a. Groups and Events Manager (sales) b. Project Manager c. Project coordinator
  3. Establishes, maintain and expand the customer base
  4. Prospects new customers and create customer loyalty.
  5. Adheres to budgets and prepares monthly/revenue/expense forecasts.
  6. Reports weekly to GM and Head Office on all sales initiatives and plans
  7. Responsible for financial operations, including group billing, verifying rates/discount, daily sales reconciliation, petty cash and room inventory controls.
  8. Boosts awareness of MAMA SHELTER LUXEMBOURG primarily but also MAMA Shelter as a brand on the market, be present during the main local events.
  9. In charge of welcoming celebrities, VIPs and key accounts representatives.
  10. Ensure that all contacts, sales opportunities, sales activities and contracts are saved in the appropriate IT solutions (PMS & CRM)
  11. Work closely with the CMIL cluster sales team and maximize cross selling between the three properties, optimizing the revenue generated at MAMA.
  12. Work closely with Mama headquarter and with the selected PR agency on all press opportunities, enquiries, press trips.
  13. Ensure the best working relationship with ACCOR local sales teams to maximize the sales opportunities and business materialization
  14. Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.

Profil recherché

• Strong knowledge of market
• Good computer skills (competent in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word)
• Experience in a hospitality group (or similar environment such as tourism travel, event organization).
• Commercial skills, determination and creativity to develop the sales.
• Ability to represent Mama Shelter's brand, its image and reputation.
• Ability to use Opéra and Delphi.
• Understands Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
• Must have the ability to work flexible work hours including evenings and weekends and holidays.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English. German would be a plus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Passionate and creative.
• Works great in a team.
